STEVIE STRONG
Bio
Born in Sunderland, at the time, the largest shipbuilding town in the world, located on the North East Coast of England. Stevie actually worked in the shipyards for seven years, from leaving school. He also played bass guitar in a band at that time on the North East Workingmens Clubs' circuit on weekends. His first ever original recordings were at Guardian studios in Pity Me Durham. It was soon after that he bought his very first home recording set up, which consisted of a computer, that could only record midi (no audio whatsoever) and a black and white computer screen. How times have changed, Stevie got to record the vocals of Special Love (first album), using the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences' 48 track SSL 4000E mixing desk in Gilbert, Arizona.

BROKEN MAN
Stevie's first solo album. Six of the tracks co Written with Gordon Dodds (Dogg)
Also hailing from Sunderland, Stevie first met Dogg after queuing for hours to see Dogg's band Cirkus at a night club in Sunderland. Cirkus were signed to the RCB record label in 1975 and managed by Robin Colville Britten, who also maneged the Hollies and Gene Pitney at that time. Their first album Cirkus One was recorded at the Emison (EMI) studio in London. Stevie was not old enough to drink at that time.To date Cirkus One is a very rare and quite expensive album, if you can find one.
Many years later and Dogg has become a very close friend and writing partner,he is a very accomplished guitarist and a brilliant songwriter.
The 4 other tracks were penned by Stevie. With the exception of the vocals on Special Love, everything was recorded at Stevie's home studio in Sunderland
